This year, for the seventh time in a row, the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Croatia organized the European Week of Sport from 23 to 30 September 2021. This is an initiative of the European Commission to promote sports and physical activity among citizens. For the first time, Sport2life Croatia joined in celebration of this week, since with its activities Sport2life shares the mission of greater involvement of children and youth in sports activities.
On Tuesday, September 28th, in addition to the regular classes of our School of Sports and Healthy Living for first graders, our team also organized an “Old Sports” class. Participants of our previous generations of the School of Sports and Healthy Living tried out games such as “Crne Marice”, “Na male branke”, “Graničar”, “Zoga” and Tug of War. These are all games typical for spending time outdoors and in the company of peers.
We also used this lesson to teach our children what can be played and how everyone can have fun outdoors, without looking at mobile devices too often.
At the end of the class, each little athlete was given a sports gift donated by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports.
European Week of Sports is another in a series of international actions to promote sports activities in which Sport2life Croatia has joined by promoting its goals of active and healthy living.
