Soccer player and former German national team member Andreas Beck, with the support of the Sport2Life Croatia team, ran the Dalmacija Ultra Trail this year. It is a very attractive and demanding 122 km long race that started from the ancient Salona, over the different heights of Kozjak and Mosor all the way to Omiš. The race is particularly demanding because it starts at 9 pm and the first kilometers are run in complete darkness. In the first half of the race, Andreas was joined by Nino Vukušić, a sports enthusiast and member of the Sport2Life futsal team.
Andreas covered the total mileage in a little more than 24 hours, and at the finish line he pointed out: Somewhere around 90 km your body screams to stop with every step, but if you really set your mind to something, you simply push on! This was by far the most difficult race I have run so far, the mountains are steep, the roads very demanding. I am grateful to the Sport2Life team for their support and help, everything is easier with a good team! I am happy that I managed to complete all 122 km!
We hope that Andreas’ effort and real sporting endeavor will motivate everyone to push their limits, try something new and dare to set new sporting goals.
